New at de Breuyn in Cologne: Kalon studios from the USA
(lifePR) (Köln, )Just in time for Kind und Jugend, the Cologne Trade Show for Kids' First Years which takes place in Cologne from 15 to 18 September 2011, Jörg de Breuyn, designer and maker of furniture for children, announces his co-operation with the German-American Kalon studios in Los Angeles. Both, the young American company's philosophy and their product range harmonize well with the sustainability concept of the Cologne producer. Pirate beds and Co. are therefore starting on a long journey.
Kalon studio's children's furniture will be shown during the fair at their own in-house exhibition at the address Girlitzweg 30. Children's beds and chests of the series Caravan, Echo and Ioline will complement the wide product range of the Cologne company. The Cologne studios are at present supplying an exclusive niche of the American furniture market.
De Breuyn is well positioned for such a co-operation. Since the company operates European production sites that can handle large production runs, no long-distance transport is needed nor awkward customs formalities. There is also the fact that measurements for children's beds differ from norm sizes in Europe, a further aspect supporting production in Europe. Both manufacturers of children's beds offer robust, well built products, free of toxic substances and made with loving detail while satisfying the most stringent safety requirements.
