New Europe-Wide Advertising Campaign for Opel MOKKA X: "With the Innovations of the Premium Class"

X-tra class: Jürgen Klopp and co. put the highlights of the MOKKA X in the spotlight in the new Opel advertising campaign (lifePR) (Rüsselsheim, ) Tough on the outside, elegant inside, with numerous highlights usually only found in the premium class; the new Opel MOKKA X offers numerous attractions, as confirmed by the soon-to-open Europe-wide advertising campaign for the SUV with adventure in its DNA. The new generation of the bestseller goes on sale “With innovations of the premium class”. In addition to football coach and Opel brand ambassador, Jürgen Klopp, the witty TV and online ads also star Bettina Zimmermann, Kai Wiesinger and Ken Duken.  

“The new MOKKA X is a real symbol of success with that certain x-tra” says Opel CMO, Tina Müller. “In the new campaign we show how the MOKKA X combines premium features with absolute driving pleasure – this includes the intelligent all-wheel drive, best connectivity thanks to Apple CarPlay and Opel OnStar, or the innovative LED headlamps.”

In three TV and online ads, the MOKKA X reveals innovations and qualities not usually associated with a compact SUV. On the way to the film set, Jürgen Klopp teaches the excited camera team a lesson: Too dark? Are you kidding? The MOKKA X has AFL LED headlamps and they turn night into day. Bettina Zimmermann and Kai Wiesinger summon guardian angels – via Opel OnStar “Emergency Call” they come to the aid of a couple whose car has gone off the road. With a twinkle in his eye, Ken Duken shows how Opel OnStar Wi-Fi can be sexy and attractive.

Online, the technology and wellness highlights of the MOKKA X ads are accompanied by tutorials that are specially tuned to the wavelength of social media users. In addition - online as well as in magazines and newspapers – the MOKKA X message is transported by banners and advertisements also carrying the big black “X”.

In order to raise public aware of the innovations usually only normally found in the premium class, Opel decided on a 360-degree marketing campaign. The especially multi-faceted approach reaches the relevant target groups. The campaign for the new MOKKA X was created under the leadership of the “Scholz & Friends” agency from Hamburg.
