Eurobest 2010 Opens And First Shortlists Announced

(lifePR) (Hamburg, ) The Eurobest Festival, which opened in Hamburg yesterday, has announced the shortlists for 11 of its 13 entry categories. Working onsite at the Festival, the jury have been judging the 4339 entries which were received and have ultimately shortlisted the following number of entries in each category:

Film - 92
Interactive - 88
Media - 67
Mobile - 8
Outdoor - 121
PR - 37
Print - 164
Promo & Activation - 60
Radio - 33

The full shortlists for these categories can be viewed at, whilst the shortlisted work is now being exhibited at the Handelskammer in Hamburg, home to the 2010 Eurobest Festival, Europe's largest annual Awards celebrating creative excellence in European advertising and communications.

As well as viewing the best of Europe's creativity in the shortlist exhibitions, delegates at the Festival were welcomed to the event on Monday with An Afternoon with Cannes Lions which saw Mark Tutssel and Alexander Schill lead an inspiring seminar reviewing the best of the work seen at Cannes Lions this year. Following on from this were welcome drinks and a special screening of Herman Vaske's film The Radical Gardener.

There is an exciting and busy day ahead for attending delegates with 11 seminars and two workshops taking place as well as Networking After Dark where six agencies in Hamburg will open their doors to Eurobest attendees. For the full Festival programme please visit

Ongoing throughout the Festival are the Young Creatives Competition, the Eurobest Academy (in partnership with Draftfcb) and the Future Creative Leaders Programme, all adding to the strong learning and educational values of the event.

The Eurobest Festival continues on Wednesday when it will culminate in the much anticipated Awards Show, where the winners will be revealed and then celebrated at the After Party.
